March 2005
Astrox Corporation received a contract from AFRL/VA to perform a technology assessment study on existing and future airbreathing vehicle designs. The purpose of this work is to make an apples-to-apples comparison between different system options, and then quantify the impact of technology changes on these systems. This work has resulted in 5 papers, two of which have recently been published in the Journal of Spacecrafts and Rockets.
February 2004
Astrox Corporation was awarded a SBIR Phase II contract by the US Air Force which will involve extending HySIDE to cover the supersonic region (SuperSIDE). The contract will also call for conducting Technology Assessment studies on many air-breathing and rocket access-to-space options in order to determine the optimal launch vehicle configuration for their requirements.
June 2003
This work will be done using HySIDE and SuperSIDE
August 2002
Astrox Corporation will supply two copies of its proprietary software HySIDE to Edwards and Wright-Patterson AFB for hypersonic and rocket system designs. Astrox Corporation will also participate in the design of such systems.
